New year, new journal entry...finally...

Sun Feb 1, 2009, 11:43 PM
Not too much new to say. I just thought it would be good to cycle through my old journal entry before it actually has been a year since I wrote. (I’m horrible at these journal/diary things, far too lazy…;)

Anyway, hm, not too much as been going on here at good ol’ UCD. Obviously I’ve gotten a job as a cartoonist. And this quarter I’ve had the joy of taking way too many classes about Greek Art (two of my four classes, and one of the others is Latin!). My Hellenistic knowledge has increased exponentially. It’s fun but at the same time…I’ve begun to dream about building Doric columns, down to the exact specifications of how many flutes the column is supposed to have (20, fyi). No joke. Scary stuff…

As for anything mildly interesting…In the last few weeks, Shadow and one of our roommates have been to several movies. We’ve seen Slumdog Millionaire (a very good movie, it’s both thought-provoking and has a good plot), Inkheart (less thought provoking, but still very fun. I’m such a teenage girl…;), and Spellbound (an old Hitchcock that we saw free through the Art History Club. Very suspenseful, very Hitchcock-y. Excellent Dali dream sequence). I’m still working on drawings and artsy stuff, but still haven’t found the time to actually finish anything besides comic strips.

So…yeah. Fun times.

At least my journal entry isn’t from June 6, 2008 anymore. ^^’

Freedom is not free. It was bought with the price of 3 nails, a cross and the blood of Jesus on a hill called Golgotha. Jesus is my savior, my defender, my rock and my strong tower. In Him I find rest, forgiveness, peace and most importantly salvation.

Hah!
Caught you while you were online! :boogie:

So how goes it lately? Heard you guys headed home for the annual Halloween scare-off + candy (of course!). Really wish I could've joined ya too; living so far away in SD can be such a bummer when you realize it puts the really good stuff out of the question. :(

Anywho, hope all's well up north! Mayyybe... bump into you for Thanksgiving?... maybe? :P
